Julian, CA, January, 2002:A new, patented design, the Tool-Less Guard/Depth Gauge comes with all Cutters Edge® 2100 Series, D6 and D8 model Fire Rescue Saws as standard equipment. The new Tool-Less design can be installed, adjusted or removed in seconds without any tools. Originally developed and patented by Cutters Edge in 1992, the Guard/Depth Gauge provides maximum safety and ease of use for the operator by covering all the cutting chain and controlling the depth of cut so no structural members are cut during ventilation, forcible entry or rescue cutting operations. With no tools required and only one moving part, the new Tool-Less design allows the operator to install, adjust or remove the Guard/Depth Gauge even with gloves on. The depth gauge can be set to cut from 0" to 8" deep. The Guard/Depth Gauge can be completely removed from the full length of the cutting bar to allow the saw to be used for conventional chain saw applications.

The new Tool-Less Guard/Depth Gauge will fit all Cutters Edge 2100 Series saws and is available in an upgrade kit for all CE2065RS and CE2071 model Fire Rescue Saws.
