Julian, CA, January, 2002: Cutters Edge has developed a new guide bar design that adds longer operating life to their Fire Rescue Saws and patented BULLET® Chain in harsh fire ground operating conditions. This new guide bar fits all Cutters Edge rescue saws as well as many other brands.

The new guide bar design features increased thickness throughout and solid, one-piece construction laser cut from high alloy steel with the chain groove milled into it. The bar will not spread open from repeated plunge cuts.

A new sprocket nose design eliminates bar scalloping at the critical transition zone. The sprocket nose components are attached to the solid bar body with eight high strength rivets to ensure permanent, fail-safe alignment. Metal shims seal bearings from contaminants and lock bearings in place for increased performance life.
